‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ has made an incredible comeback in the US. It has set a record-breaking opening weekend for video game movies and continues strong onward the second weekend.

Adding the earnings from the second weekend, the movie has made $106.6 million domestically. The worldwide profit of the movie has reached $200 million with $38.3 million made from the international markets. The CG-hybrid movie stars Jim Carrey as Robotnik and has Sonic voiced by Ben Schwartz.

The movie’s production cost is $87 million and has definitely made amazing achievements as it keeps ‘Call of the Wild’ in the second place. Harrison Ford’s adaptation of Jack London’s novel made $40.2 million worldwide.

Paramount is also in talks about bringing a sequel to the live-action. Rumors have it that Dwayne Johnson is in discussion to play ‘The Knuckles’.
