Selena Gomez Shuts Down Body-Shaming Comments After Attending Golden Globes
“But we don’t care.”
Selena Gomez has returned to the red carpet after a good holiday break with her family last year. The 30-year-old, however, can’t help but get comments about her body.
We love it when people emerge from the holiday season with that glow from being happy and just enjoying themselves. And with a good life, good food, and a good time, a lot of us get bigger coming back home, finding ourselves not fitting in some of the pants anymore.
Honestly, who cares? Selena looked so happy and enjoyed herself as she appeared on the red carpet in a velvet dress combined with dramatic balloon sleeves.
We’re stunned, honestly speechless. Regal, classic, elegant – there are tons of ways to describe her look for Golden Globes Award night. She wore Valentino’s dark purple gown with billowing sleeves and kept the accessories simple with two rings and a pair of matching earrings.
She’s had quite a tumultuous social media life and has announced herself retreating from it a few times.
But the “Kill ‘Em with Kindess” hitmaker returns again, facing still the same negative comments ranging from allegedly hating on Hailey Bieber, her ex-boyfriend’s wife, to comments on how she’s been puffing up recently.
She quit the platform back in 2019 after deleting them but has been using the platform again to promote her new makeup line, Rare Beauty.
She told her fans with her sister sitting next to her, “I’m feeling a little bit big right now.”

“Because I enjoyed myself during the holidays,” said the singer as she looked at her sister. “Right?”
“But we don’t care,” she said anyway, before the two of them laughed.
Gracie, her 9-year-old sibling, ran up to her in an adorable video shared by Golden Globes Award and became her plus one of the event. She gushed over her sister before, “She puts things in perspective. I have to basically watch this little person grow into a human being.”
“There’s no better feeling in the world. I kind of feel like a parent in a way,” said the sister who’s 20 years older.
