Restaurant Calls Police On A Dinner Party Of 25 People After Refusing To Split Bill
The celebrant paid a whole lot out of her pocket.
Money is a tough matter, and people often don’t react well when asked to contribute towards a bill. Splitting a bill can undeniably be a source of conflict among friends, especially if a few try to avoid contributing a dime. An excellent example of the mentioned above transpired in a Georgia restaurant.
A group of 25 people celebrated a woman’s 30th birthday, and just when the bill of over $2200 surfaced, it sparked a misunderstanding. The situation got quite intense that it resulted in calling in the cops. TikTok clips uploaded by a woman identified as Key showed as the group celebrated her sister named Quandresha Brinkley at the Louisiana Bistreaux Seafood Kitchen in East Point, Georgia.
Louisiana Bistreaux Seafood Kitchen in East Point, Georgia, called cops on Key (pictured here) and her sister Quandresha Brinkley, who celebrated her 30th birthday.
Key explained that Brinkley had made reservations ahead and had even spoken with staff at the restaurant about splitting the bill (the manager had opined fewer credit cards). As a video showed the group sitting in the restaurant with police gathered nearby, several people could be seen in discussion with the restaurant manager, who reveals she could take drinks off the bill but unable to split the rest.

Key further showed the bill of $2,204.30 to an officer who laughed at the scene while the manager tried to explain the drinks situation. According to DailyMail, Both Key and Quandresha shared that the restaurant staff didn’t do their best in accommodating the party, revealing that the dinner was scheduled to begin around 6 p.m. Yet, food didn’t get to the group by the time Key arrived at about 8 p.m. “Most people were complaining. Nobody had food.” Key, a nail technician said.

When the food eventually came out “two to three plates,” Key said none belong to anyone, so the check had to be sent back a few times when the dishes appeared on the given bill. Besides, many older guests didn’t have Cash App, so they needed to use cash, and since there were no ATMs, Key stated that attendees were forced to walk to a nearby hotel to withdraw some money and pay.

the restaurants’ manner of handling guests resulted in several people opting to ditch the party and not paying for their food.
Majorly, the restaurants’ manner of handling guests resulted in several people opting to ditch the party and not paying for their food, forcing Brinkley to pay a lot of the bill from her pocket. However, officers reportedly told Key to post about the incident and describe how they’ve been treated. So far the restaurant nor the East Point Police Department have commented.
