The latest star to cash in on the meet-and-greet trend is Emilia Clarke. The Game of Thrones star no longer allows selfies on the street but welcomes fans to get close with a FEE. Any admirers who want a full-on meet and greet will have to shell out £400 for the pleasure.
And those who only want a snap with her at the Dream It Fest fan Convention in London next month will pay £150.
This comes as Gentleman Jack stars Suranne Jones and Sophie Rundle had charged £90 for a selfie together at a fan conference in Birmingham. Benedict Cumberbatch, the Sherlock star, was reported to have earned £240K for posing for 3,000 photos with fans at a 2017 convention.
Emilia had recently opened up about her battle with a brain aneurysm, revealing it’s remarkable she can speak even after surviving brain procedures.
In an interview with the BBC’s Sunday Morning, where the British actor came to promote her next big film, “The Seagull, she said: “The amount of my brain that is no longer usable – it’s remarkable I am able to speak, sometimes articulately and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions.”
“I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.”
In 2011, the 35-Year-Old actor was diagnosed with an aneurysm and & suffered another attack in 2013. At the time, she underwent emergency procedures, which caused her to suffer from aphasia, a disorder that affects how one communicates.
