New York’s Unvaccinated Kids Banned From School, Anti-Vax Parents Are Getting Furious

The 2-week grace resulted in fighting back!

During the summer, most especially when the dreadful measles outbreak occurred, New York passed a law that terminated religious exemptions to vaccinations for children in public schools.

Specifically, parents were granted two week grace period to deliver a vaccination record or their children would be kicked out.

And as the grace period draws closer, many of the parents are beginning to fight back furiously that the law is being upheld. Certainly, the students can return to school, only if their parents vaccinate them.

Speaking, the State Health officials told Buzzfeed News that over 26,217 unvaccinated New York kids in public school,  daycare centers, parochial schools, prekindergarten programs, and private school obtained religious exemptions during the 2017-2018 school period.

However, the measles outbreak that brought about the new law is gradually accelerating. Earlier in September, Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed an end to the measles outbreak in New York City.
