New Economy Seat Unveiled With Padded Wings For Passengers To Lean On

You’ll agree that flying economy can be pretty stressful. Here comes a lasting solution – An economy seat, dubbed as ‘Interspace with two padded support wings is undoubtedly the light in the tunnel.

Launched December 5^th, the new economy seats by London-based Universal Movement permit passengers to rotate and lean back on a cushioned surface, providing lateral support.

The wings of the new seats can be detached separately to create personal bays for families or for smaller groups of passengers while also can be used for different sleeping patterns.

Accordiningly, the wings can be folded back into the chair and replaced. The producers also revealed that the newly launched economy seats, will provide better access for passengers, permitting them to move from one seat to another with ease.

‘The product has been created with the knowledge that aircraft cabins have traditionally failed to beyond seat pitch as the primary determinant of providing comfort. What passengers crave for is the ability to rotate and redistribute weight within their seat. Which is why you most times see people leaning on the window of an aircraft using makeshift pillows.’ Universal Movement, a spin off organization by New Territory said.
