Mother Dies From Childbirth Just Four Months After Tying The Knot
“Looking forward to birthing this angel as soon as viably possible.”
Family and employees of “Yoga Queen” Lauren Verona from Queensland are grieving as the woman died from complications after going through home birth. The 42-year-old gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Lucinda Lauren Elizabeth Gaylard.
Verona was the owner of Zenko Yoga, located in Noosaville, Sunshine Coast.
Not too long ago, in February, she and her husband, Ryan, tied the knot and held a private party for their wedding. The employees of the yoga house wrote the devastating news of her death.
“This unfathomable loss is felt deeply by all of us that are part of her teaching team, by her family, her friends, and we know it will be by all who came to know her.”
“All who went to her workshops, watched her videos, shared space with her on retreats, trained with her, practiced with her, or simply met her once know how powerful her presence was, how her energy radiated with light and wisdom towards everyone and everything she touched!”
“Lauren has CHANGED more lives than anyone can comprehend and it is our greatest loss to not get to continue to share her joy, her spirit and her wisdom with this world.”
“In this time of darkness, we still have a shining light, not only in Lucinda, but all of her loved ones she leaves behind, especially in Ryan and her daughters.”
“May they, and we all continue to share her light, her wisdom, her laughter, her tears for lifetimes to come.”
Verona left behind three daughters and her husband after going through a complicated pregnancy.
“Pelvic instability, anaemia and gestational diabetes keeping me couch bound but otherwise awesome and looking forward to birthing this angel as soon as viably possible,” wrote Verona at 30 weeks.
She’s previously shared about going through an “indescribable pelvic girdle pain” when she was at 35 weeks. But the next week, things seemed to get better and she updated, “Remarkably on my 36-week scan my cervix is now clear of what was a low lying placenta .5cm away.”
“Even the Sonographer seemed shocked and called her senior in to confirm. The obstetrician who was about to convince me of a C section told me I was free to go home and birth naturally.”
“But I hear my own children say ”divine timing” when anyone asks when the baby is coming out. I love that they get it. So here we are 41 weeks pregnant trusting the higher plan.”
People paid their condolences after hearing about her passing. One wrote, “I am heartbroken to have lost to this physical realm a most wonderful woman who taught me how to love and to be fearless.”
“It has been my utmost honor and privilege to meet, train with, know and support her in her passion which is the physicality and energy of Zenko Yoga,” added another.
Another commented, “So many memories that will be forever etched in the forefront in my mind … My heart aches for her divine two young daughters, her beloved husband and newborn baby girl.”
