Model, 19, Who Dubbed The ‘Most Beautiful Face In The World’ Says She’s Trolled For Her Looks

TC Candler’s Annual ‘100 Most Beautiful Faces of the Year’ was held in 2020, and Yael Shelbia, an Israeli model and actor, emerged as a winner. The contest had garnered viral fame after Thylane Blondeau, then aged 6, won it in 2007. For Shelby, the victory has somewhat been met with trolling. The 19-Year-Old claim that not all of the messages were complimentary.

Yael, who admits dating Brandon Korff, 36 – the grandson of the American billionaire businessman Summer Redstone said a few people had continuously trolled for her looks. ‘I have received a large amount of support and love; also suitor messages I must admit some messages weren’t the nicest. They said the normal things that haters say, nothing worthy any attention.’ Yael told The Sun.

Yael claimed she was flattered when she won the competition and didn’t even know she was participating

She added that the award arrived at the right time, following a tedious year due to the pandemic. While Yael had insisted that all women are beautiful, she claims Brandon is happy for her, having been together for about a year.

The model, who has visited across the US and Europe, claims she’s keen to start traveling for work again as soon as the COVID-19 restrictions permit her.

However, Yael had grown up in a large Orthodox Jewish family in the North of Israel. She started her modeling journey at age 16 after a local photographer observed her Instagram photos. On the other hand, the Annual ‘100 Most Beautiful Faces Of The Year was founded by British Film Critic TC Candler. He had previously awarded Michelle Pfeiffer, Jourdan Dunn, and even Marion Cottilard.
