Missing Texan Mom Found Dead In Her Car Three Weeks Later

Her cause of death is yet to be determined.

A missing Texas resident was last seen rushing for work in the early morning from her home. Her mother recalled she told her she was late, and perhaps, she said to her ‘I love you’ for one last time. Three weeks later, she was found dead in her car parked in a shopping mall parking lot.

Christina Lee Powell went missing on July 5 as her workplace never saw her clock in for her paralegal work.

A security guard smelled something “foul” from the parking lot of the Huebner Oaks Center in San Antonio. They noticed a black 2020 Nissan Rogue that’s been parked on the same spot for the past week and approached the vehicle, only to find a body inside.

The guard phoned 911, and the police arrived on the scene. She was soon identified as the missing 39-year-old mom. The police recapped, “He looked inside the vehicle and observed a body in the front passenger side seat and called 911.”

No trauma was found on her body, which is currently undergoing an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Christina’s ID and purse were found inside the car with her and quickly helped officials identify her. Her mother, Claudia Moble, confirmed the news of her passing on her social media this Monday, writing, “My beautiful daughter, Christina Powell, has been found, deceased. I am heartbroken. Thank you all for your prayers.”

Christina was last known heading out from her home in San Antonio for work, rushing because she was late. She’d called the office to let them know that she was running late. At 10.30 am, she left her house. She forgot to take her phone and Apple Watch, which made locating her a true challenge.

Her friend came over after office hours because she never showed up. Three weeks later, she was found deceased in a mall parking lot.

Speaking of her daughter before the discovery, Moble told Fox News, “I felt like she was going, I believed she was going to work — and I think she felt like she was going to work.”

“We didn’t really have any kind of in-depth conversation. It was basically, ‘Good morning.’ She told me she was late,” she added, saying that there weren’t any particularly notable things she’s said to her.

“Then, she was leaving for work, and I told her to be careful. And I probably told her, ‘I love you.'”
