Millionaire Dentist Imprisoned For Mutilating Patients With Unnecessary Work
A multi-millionaire dentist in France has been jailed for purposely mutilating patients from the poor neighborhoods of the southern city of Marseille in a money-making scheme in which he performed thousands of pointless procedures.
He worked for a long time with help from his dad, Carnot Guedj, prior to being charged.
prosecutors said between 2006 and 2012, Lionel Guedj played out an expected 3,900 root channel procedure on the fit and fine teeth of 327 patients, expecting them to be pulled out and supplanted with bridges. large numbers of them resulting in infections, long-lasting harm, or permanent damage.
In 2010, he became the highest-earning dental specialist in France, making up to €2.9m (£2.5m) in fees. He utilized it to buy property, compositions, and extravagant vehicles.
Lionel Guedj, 41, was jailed for 8 years, and his father, Carnot Guedj, 70, was jailed for five years.

One lady depicted going to him, aged 18, for a minor tooth finish issue. He took out 24 of her healthy teeth without properly disinfecting the roots. She expressed that since then: “I have pain 24 hours a day … My life is on reserve” She said she avoided society and felt disgraced. “You want to crawl into a hole and never come out again, even to work.”
Both had been booed by a crowd as they showed up at the Marseille town hall.
