Metropolitan Police Officer Claimed She Was ‘Unaware’ Her Husband Was A Drug Lord
She’s claimed to have no knowledge of any of these things.
Rasvinder Agalliu who works as a Metropolitan police officer lives a lifestyle that many consider unfitting to her salary. While she earns the average amount most police officers make, Agalliu enjoys lavish vacations with her husband and drives a £70,000 Audi.
And not long ago, she’s been fired after it was found out that her husband, Julian Agalliu, turned up to be a drug lord.
She claimed that her husband told her he works as a private chef for footballers and earns up to £4,000 a week in cash. Their monthly rental is around £5,000 and Agalliu wears designer clothes on a daily basis.
The drug lord was exposed after the National Crime Agency snuck into Encrochat, a criminal communication app, and tracked his messages as “Nicemoon.” His latest hustle involves a 100kg cocaine delivery disguised as packages of Hublot watches. A raid took place at their home in Enfield, North London, in June 2020 and more than £15,000 was found in cash.
Aside from cash, cocaine, digital scales, and traces of the drug were detected on her gym card and a Louis Vuitton box, and on a radio assigned to a former officer inside her handbag.
Rasvinder insists that she never knew about her husband’s side hustle, and the radio had been reassigned to her, but the name hadn’t been changed. She also claimed to have not slept in the room where the cocaine was found, and she thought she’d lost the gym card and the rest were things she’s never seen. She accused an attendee to have planted the drugs when a party was held not long ago.
A disciplinary hearing was done and Agalliu was fired as the panel did not buy her reasonings. She “must have been aware” of at least one of the things they found and knew about the source of her husband’s earnings as he’d also been avoiding tax income.
“The clear inference we draw from the evidence presented is that on the balance of probabilities, [Julian Agalliu] is a class A drug user and is measuring drugs and it is inconceivable his wife would not know.”
Julian will be sentenced on February 9 next year.
