Meghan Markle Spotted Hiking Near Her $14M Montecito Manson Since Skipping King Charles’ Coronation
Meghan was seen in public for the first time since King Charles’ coronation on the same day as Archie’s birthday.
The Duchess of Sussex was spotted hiking near her $14 million Montecito mansion without her husband Prince Harry. This was shortly after Meghan Markle didn’t attend King Charles’ coronation. Friends Markus Anderson & Heather Dorak joined her on the hike, which took place on Sunday after partying son Archie’s birthday the day before.
As she hiked, Meghan, seen for the first time since coronation, donned an all-black athletic ensemble, paired with a khaki jacket that she wrapped around her waist.

The mom-of-two completed her look with a beige hat, pink neckerchief, and large sunglasses. While Meghan celebrated Archie’s birthday in a low-key fashion at her Montecito home, she was absent from the UK’s royal events. Harry, who arrived back in California following the Coronation at Westminster Abbey, didn’t join the hike.

Reportedly, the King paid tribute to Prince Harry’s son Archie on his fourth birthday by raising a glass at Buckingham Palace.

During a private family gathering at the palace after his crowning and balcony appearance with Queen Camilla, emotional Charles mentioned his present and absent grandchildren, despite the ongoing strife with Harry. The Duke of Sussex had been invited to the family lunch, but he returned to California to celebrate Archie’s birthday. However, Markus and Heather have been long-time acquaintances of Meghan.

Markus, who holds a senior position at the Soho House private members’ club, has known Meghan since her time in Toronto, where she filmed ‘Suits’.

On the other hand, Heather has been Meghan’s Pilates and yoga instructor for several years and used to appear on her social media before Meghan deleted her accounts.

On the other hand, Prince Harry left the venue shortly after saying a brief goodbye and drove off in a blacked-out electric BMW towards Heathrow Airport. He returned to California after spending slightly more than 28 hours in the UK, departing before his father and stepmother had finished taking their official portraits.

Photographed at Windsor Suite in his morning suit and medals, Harry was all smiles before boarding his British Airways flight.

The Duke of Sussex left for the airport at 3:45 pm and arrived in Los Angeles at 6:55 pm local time. The drive to Montecito from Los Angeles airport takes about 90 minutes. A source told DailyMail, ‘Harry was determined to be back in time to tuck Archie into bed.’ When asked if any of the party guests included celebrity neighbors such as Oprah Winfrey, the source added, ‘Some of their friends are celebrities, so yes, that’s likely. It will be a small, intimate gathering.’

In addition to King Charles’ coronation, Saturday marked Archie’s fourth birthday. Archie was born in 2019. Prince Harry and Meghan welcomed their second child, Lilibet Diana, in 2021.

Prince Archie celebrated his 4th birthday in a low-key manner at his family’s mansion in Montecito, while his cousins attended the Coronation. Sources revealed that the Duchess of Sussex made him a lemon cake using fruits from their garden, and the celebration was held privately. Archie’s grandmother Doria Ragland was expected to be at the party, as well as Meghan’s close friend, make-up mogul Victoria Jackson, 65.

Another source said Meghan ‘stayed home to celebrate Archie’s birthday because she felt it would be inauthentic to do anything else,’ and added: ‘She wanted to minimize the drama.’
