Meghan Markle And Harry Are Not Allowed ‘Sussex Royal’ Label Moving Forward
They’re not royal anymore, after all.
Despite the initial chaos that was stirred from the ‘sudden’ resignation by the Sussexes, the Royal Family is getting a hang of it. The Queen and senior Palace officials have agreed to let them take a step back from their royal duties and positions. That also means they have to forgo all the benefits of the positions.
Initially, Harry and Meghan Markle planned to use the brand ‘Sussex Royal’ to leverage in selling various products from clothing to activities as well as setting up a charitable organization for it.
But a royal revealed, “As The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are stepping back as senior Members of the Royal Family and will work towards financial independence, use of the word ‘Royal’, in this context, needed to be reviewed. Discussions are still ongoing.”
Sussex Royal is a branch-off from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Kensington Royal.
The source also added, “As part of the process to transition The Duke and Duchess of Sussex into their new chapter, planning has been well underway around the launch of their new nonprofit organization. Details will be shared in due course.”
