Man Plays Dead For 321 Days And Earned An Acting Role In CSI
One might say this is dedication taken to a new height.
John Nalley has spent the past year working very hard to prove himself worthy of his unusual dream job. The Kentucky man has been spending his past year pretending to be dead in random places around him. To be exact, he spent 321 days and would post the clips on his TikTok.
And CSI: Vegas finally reached out to him on his TikTok page, much to his delight!
Josh Nalley from Kentucky shares his play-dead clip on @living_dead_josh every day. To star in a major TV show was, indeed, his dream. He spoke with Courier Journal on how he developed the skill to be a believable dead body, “I don’t like speaking on camera, but I can lie there and act like I am dead pretty easily.”
“Having done more than 300 of these posts, I have progressed and gotten better. At first, you could see me breathing, or the fake blood looked really bad.”
“I have gotten rid of using the blood and gotten better at holding my breath.”
Josh learned about the tricks and tips from watching other people’s videos, particularly one of a woman with hot sauce, which got her subsequent offers from retailers. It taught her that the key to creating a realistic video is to make sure that it feels alive, which enhances his stationary position as a dead body.
Hilariously, he missed one day because a telemarketer’s phone call came in just right when he was filming his dead body pose. But we’d like to say he has a rather high success rate.
