Christy McGinity from ‘Little Women: LA’ had just happily welcomed her daughter to the world with boyfriend Gonzalo Justo Carazo two weeks ago. But her happiness was shortlived – Violet Eva was born prematurely and died at just 2 weeks old.
The couple previously revealed that Eva was 7 weeks early when she was born.
While the couple was so excited to welcome their baby, they were worried due to the premature condition of their little girl. At 33 weeks old in her womb, Eva was born 15 inches and 3 lbs. 15 oz, pretty small for a newborn baby, but they were hopeful.
They were hopeful parents and kept sharing their newborn’s update on social media.
And just last week, father Gonzalo celebrated one week old Eva on his Instagram and wrote, “Happy One Week Old Birthday to our Baby Girl Violet. Thank you for making me a Dad and for bringing me an entirely new perspective during your first week of Life. We love you so much!”
Here’s her sharing a video of boyfriend signing daughter’s certificate.
But the two couldn’t imagine that in another week, they will experience a devastating loss right after.
Speaking to People, Christy said, “It is with our deepest sorrow that we send our baby girl Violet Eva Carazo to play with the angels. We were able to spend two weeks with our sweet baby girl and for that, we are forever thankful.”
Christy also said, “Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.”
Christy was also an active social media user, regularly keeping her followers updated. Even before labor, Christy had quite the pregnancy as she was constantly feeling emotional and had early contractions. They have been sharing their happiness with people that it was just unthinkable for them to experience such a harsh loss.
Christy has two other children from previous relationships and we hope she can find solace while spending more time with her family. Losing a child is never an easy thing and we’re sending our deep condolences.
