Kim Kardashian Channels Marilyn Monroe Again In ‘Ciao Kim’ Dolce & Gabbana Advert
Kim first chanelled Marilyn, wearing her iconic dress to the MET Gala.
Kim Kardashian has again channeled Marilyn Monroe for the Dolce & Gabbana advert. The 41-Year-Old first channeled the icon, wearing the dress she wore to sing Happy Birthday to then-President John F. Kennedy in 1962 to the MET Gala this year. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum had loaned Kim the number.
For the ‘Ciao Kim’ advert, the SKIMs Founder donned a hugging lace dress while surrounded by paparazzi.
Her hair was styled in a tousle of sultry platinum blonde curls while her face was entirely made up in glam makeup reminiscent of classic Hollywood silver screen sirens. In her seconds-long Instagram reel, captioned: “La Dolce Vita #CiaoKim Watch the show live – Tomorrow at 2:30 p.m., CEST,” the beauty incorporated an ice cream cone in the video.
The clinging dress she donned had a plunging low-cut neckline that put her cleavage on display.
The paparazzi that surrounded Kim were all dressed in black suits and sunglasses as their shutters clicked until Kim shoved her ice cream into the lens of one of the cameras. The video was black and white, including a retro effect to the old-school-themed campaign. It comes just a day after the fashion brand shared a clip ad that saw the mom-of-four in the back of a limo.
The caption of the similar ad video, which was a joint upload, read: “An appetizer before the show. #CiaoKim.”
And a message at the end of the clip in white capital letters says: “Women’s Spring-Summer 2023 Fashion Show.” Dolce & Gabbana had earlier shared a teaser for the runway show with SKKY co-founder seen in black and white while deplaning her private jet. Other clips on her Instagram story showed a sleek envelope holding physical black and white photographs, including kitschy items.
However, the studying lawyer was the first person to don the gown since Monroe wore it in 1962.
