Jonah Hill, 39, Sparks Outrage After Alleged Texts To Ex-GF Sarah Brady
Sarah Brady has been sharing alleged text and DM conversations with ex-boyfriend, Jonah Hill.
Since July 7th, Sarah Brady has been sharing a series of Instagram Stories that detail her ex-BF’s alleged emotionally abusive behavior. Jonah Hill and Bray made their red-carpet debut in December 2021 wearing matching blue suits and loafers at the Don’t Look Up premiere. But then, they officially called it quit sometime in 202 and more recently, Hill has welcomed his first child with GF Olvia Millar.
Sarah Brady posted DMs and texts exchange sent to her by Johan Hill. A conversation appears to show the actor chastising the professional surfer for sharing photos of herself surfing in a bathing suit.
In the exchange, Brady says she deleted a series of photos from her feed, which Hill allegedly responds is “a good start,” but says that she still doesn’t “seem to get it. But it’s not my place to teach you. I’ve made my boundaries clear,” Hill continued, as per Brady’s post. “You refuse to let go of some of them and you’ve made that clear and I hope it makes you happy.” Brady captioned the screenshots, “This is a warning to all girls. If your partner is talking to you like this, make an exit plan. Call me if you need an ear.”

In another slide, Hill allegedly laid out attitude that crosses his “boundaries,” including Brady “surfing with men,” modeling, posting pictures of herself “in a bathing suit,” and having friendships with “women who are in unstable places from your wild recent past beyond getting lunch of a coffee or something respectful.” Brady said she and Hill saw a couple’s therapist that instructed her to “paddle away” from men while surfing and tell them “I’m going to go talk to my boyfriend.”
Most of Brady’s Instagram Stories can still be viewed via her account or in TikTok videos about the controversy, which has launched discourse about emotional abuse.

In a slide from her numerous posts, Brady wrote about the Superbad actor welcoming a daughter, “I hope my ex has a daughter. Maybe she’ll turn him into a real feminist because the fact that he calls himself a feminist now is laughable.” Per PEOPLE, Brady explained, “Sharing this publicly now because keeping it to myself was causing more damage to my mental health than sharing it could ever do.” Jonah Hill is yet to respond to the posts, but Brady insisted she struggle with mental health but didn’t use it to control people as the actor did to her.

Brady wrote in one Instagram story. “It’s been a year of healing & growth with the help of loved ones and doctors to get back to living my life without guilt, shame, and self-judgment for things as small as surfing in a swimsuit rather than a more conservative wetsuit. And I’m sure there’s still much more healing from this abuse ahead of me.” The internet has since responded to the posts, with many pointing out that emotionally abusive and controlling men don’t wasn’t submissive women but want to take strong women down a peg.
A TikTok personality, Tefi Pessoa has also discussed the allegations on her account. “How are you gonna tell a surfer to stop surfing when she was already surfing when you met her?” Pessoa asks in her TikTok post. “The weaponizing of therapy is crazy because you’re using terminology you used in therapy to get someone to stop doing what they love…Those are not boundaries.” The text exchange between Hill and Sarah also inspired discussions about the weaponization of therapy language and Brady herself posted the video of TikToker Tefi.
