As an associate of the firm representing Johnny Depp, Camille Vasquez, 37, happens to be among the members of the actor’s legal team. The brunette had questioned witnesses throughout the trial, but she eventually caught people’s attention when she cross-examined Amber Heard.
Vasquez had launched the 2nd day of Heard’s cross-examination, asking about her confession that Depp violated her with a bottle of Maker’s Mark Bourbon amid a tussle in March 2015 in Australia.
“You’re the one who assaulted someone with a bottle in Australia, isn’t that right, Ms. Heard? You weren’t scared of him at all, were you?” Vasquez had asked. To which Heard responded: “I didn’t assault Johnny in Australia. I didn’t assault Johnny ever.” Vasquez also got Heard to admit she didn’t follow through on her pledge to donate part of her $7million divorce settlement to the ACLU and pressed on whether she had edited photos of herself with bruises.
Vasquez appeared to needle the actress in another tense moment, suggesting Depp had helped her acquire her role in Aquaman.
Just as Heard’s attorney Elaine Bredehoft attempted to redirect the latter, Vasquez’s near-constant objections made it nearly impossible for Heard to speak. A TikTok of the moment has since garnered over 17.9million views on the platform, with the hashtag #CamilleVasquez. So far, the attorney has been winning praise, including one prominent attorney who branded her the unrivaled star of the trial.

Also viral is now a video of Vasquez and Depp hugging in court, which has since sparked rumors about the nature of her relationship with the accused wife-beater client.
As the attorney walked out of the Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse, a TMZ reporter had asked the beauty: “The people want to know, are you dating Johnny Depp? It’s all over the internet. Can you set the record straight, yes or no?” The litigator declined to answer as she laughed, brushed her hair aside, and waved to the crowds gathered outside. However, Depp’s fans have been showering praise on the lawyer for her work defending the Oscar-Nominated actor.
While they’ve been making TikToks set to romantic pop songs of the pair exchanging glances, holding hands, and talking closely, both Depp and Vasquez were spotted all smiles; a day after, they were snapped hugging.

Nonetheless, Vasquez was born in July 1984 to parents Leonel and Marilla Vasquez, of Colombian descent. Her father once owned a UPS store in Anaheim, and the location has been a FedEx store for the past ten years. While she and her parents live in a $1 million home in Buena Park, Vasquez had graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in arts, communications, and political science.
The fluent Spanish speaker went to Southwestern Law school in L.A. from 2007 to 2010 and worked at a law firm before joining Brown Rudnick as an associate.
According to her bio on the law firm’s website, Vasquez focuses on plaintiff-side defamation suits, with additional experience ligating contract disputes, business-related torts, and employment-related claims.
