Johnny Depp is Dating His Lawyer Joelle Rich

Early in the summer, Johnny Depp sparked romance rumors with his attorney, Camille Vasquez, who represented him in his victorious defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. But it turns out the 59-Year-Old is dating another of his attorney, Joelle Rich. 

She had represented the Pirates of the Caribbean star in his UK libel trial against the Sun. 

Joelle was not one of the lawyers who worked on the US case of Depp, but she was reportedly present in the courtroom. US Weekly reported that the British attorney, a mom-of-two, was throughout in Virginia to show her support for the Oscar nominee. A source said: “There was no professional obligation for her being there.” 

The source added that Depp and Joelle would discreetly meet up in hotels during the early stages of their romance. 

It’s unknown when the relationship started, and it would be recalled that a few of the Edward Scissorhands star exes made appearances in the courtroom. Supermodel Kate Moss, who dated the ‘Cry Baby’ actor from 1994 to 1998, appeared as a rebuttal witness for Depp on May 25. She denied Depp pushed her down the stairs via her virtual testimony.

Ellen Barkin instead showed support for Heard, testifying that Depp had violent behavior and once threw a bottle of wine in her direction. 

Barkin dated Depp briefly in 1994, and she had also issued a statement in the actor’s case against in the Sun in 2020. When it was rumored that Depp was dating Camille, the attorney quieted it, calling the allegations unethical and sexist. She told PEOPLE in June: “I care very deeply about my clients, and we have obviously become close. But when I say we, I mean the entire team, and of course, that includes Johnny.” 

Camille noted that Depp had been her friend and client for four and a half years. She added: “It’s also an unethical charge being made. It’s sexist. It’s unfortunate, and it’s disappointing but at the same time, it kind of comes with the territory. I can’t say I was all that surprised.” However, the relationship between Joelle and Depp is reportedly serious.

The London-based lawyer Joelle was once married but separated, and her divorce might not have been finalized yet.
