Jesy Nelson, 32, Announces Break From Showbiz And Reveals Big Future Plans
The former Little Mix singer, is taking a long break from showbiz to travel the world.
The former Little Mix singer says she’s stepping away from the spotlight and her social media pages this summer to spend some time traveling the world. Jasy Nelson indicated it would be a long break from showbiz, and this announcement comes as she launches her solo music career as well as after her former bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock broke her silence on Little Mix Feud rumors and even teased a reunion.
Nelson, who quit the girl band in 2020, shared the news of her long break from showbiz with her 9.7 million followers on Instagram.
The singer, stepping down from showbiz, wrote, ‘Hey guys! So, for a long time, I’ve wanted to go traveling but never had the time to do it. ‘I’ve got some really exciting things coming up with work and my music, but until then I’m gonna take the summer off to travel the world,‘ adding a heart eyes emoji and stating further, ‘I’m going to be off my social media for a while, I love you all so much and I’ll see you when I’m back.’

Little Mix, the band Nelson formerly belonged to announced they were taking an indefinite break from touring together in 2021 as the trio decided to pursue solo careers.

The group, which included Leigh-Anne, 31, Perrie Edwards, 29, and Jade Thirlwall, 31, appeared to be the closest of friends after Jesy Nelson’s departure three years ago. But then fans feared the ladies have started to drift apart, especially after Perrie missed several Leigh-Anne’s recent milestones, including her wedding. But Leigh-Anne herself set the record straight on Heart FM, claiming the girls are so tight and remain like sisters.
For her appearance on Heart FM, Host Amanda Holden asked Leigh-Anne, ‘You’re the first one from the band to release solo music, are you feeling nervous, does it feel weird not having them around you even now…?’ She replied, ‘I literally keep saying that I’ve been punked or something… like they’re just gonna pop out from somewhere, they’re just gonna join me, it’s bizarre but I genuinely feel like it’s the right time. We’ve been together for twelve years and I really feel it was time for us to spread our wings.’

Amanda continued: ‘It’s typical of most iconic bands they sort of all go away, all produce their own music then there’s an amazing tour about five years later when they all get back together again.’ Leigh-Anne added: ‘We’re so tight, they are my girls and they’re always gonna to be my sisters, so, of course, we’re gonna do a reunion, how would we not?’ Pierre had been absent from Leigh-Anne’s wedding to footballer Andre Gray in Jamaica as well as the launch party for the new single Don’t Say, Love.

Perrie had reunited with Jade as the pair went for dinner on a trip to Los Angeles. The singer cradled her son, Axel, 18 months, as she and Jade strolled in Santa Monica.
When she also appeared on Capital FM, Leigh-Anne gushed, ‘Jade heard Don’t Say Love on the hen do, and my second single too. It was by the pool. Let me tell you, I was so scared to play it to her. It was weird, but she loved it so I was buzzing.’ In footage from the London party to celebrate the release, Leigh-Anne told the crowd, ‘Jade, this girl shows up for me every f***ing time.’ Perrie also shared the song’s debut on her Instagram Stories, writing, ‘The most EPIC video ever, so proud of my @LeighannePinnock.’
