Jennifer Lopez Shares ‘Awkward’ Video About Her Drinking Habits, Gets Slammed
“I drink responsibly.”
The lovey-dovey Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck couple are always under scrutiny. People either shower them with love and support or criticize them due to their long history. A video that Lopez shared recently had her talking about her alcohol preference which has people confused.
Ben Affleck having a drinking issue is no longer a secret, but Lopez on the other hand, claimed she never gets “sh**-f*ced.” She followed it up with a shot of herself getting a bottle of her own alcohol brand, Delola.
Jennifer Lopez, 53, is sharing her drinking habit and alcohol preference in a video promoting her product.
Lopez spoke in the video, “So I’m on my way to sneak out to go and get some Delola.”
“We have a few people coming over for the holiday weekend and I realized that we don’t have any. I thought we would but we don’t. So I’m gonna go to the store and get some, hopefully, they have it there”
“I know that a lot of people have been talking about like, ‘Oh she doesn’t even drink, what’s she doing with a cocktail?’ And to tell you the truth, that was true for a long time, I didn’t drink. A few years back, as you will see from several photos of me out over the past 10, maybe 15 years, I have been having the occasional cocktail.”
“I do enjoy the occasional cocktail. I do drink responsibly, I don’t drink to get s***-faced.”
“I drink to be social and to have a nice time and just kind of relax and to let loose a little bit, but always responsibly,” she added. “I have to tell you, I tried a lot of different things, cocktails, I was into White Russians at one point, I was into rosé, but I never found anything that I really loved, and so like anything else in my life, I created it myself.”
While grabbing herself a bottle of Delola, the sight of a superstar had other customers snapping pictures of hers. But several followers were sharing their confusion in the comment on her take on her drinking habit. Not to mention Jennifer Lopez’s alcohol brand promotion was the reason for it.
‘The Batman’ actor Ben Affleck’s drinking issue is a long-known fact. He’s been to rehab multiple times.
The comment section is filled with viewers wondering if it was the best decision to make to promote alcohol while her husband is maintaining sobriety.
One of them penned, “I’m just confused about her talking about alcohol and cocktails when her husband is an alcoholic… who is allegedly in recovery? Makes no sense at all and I find it very difficult to understand.”
Another lamented, “So sad bc her husband doesn’t drink why is she making a point of telling us this?? Who cares… next she’ll be selling her cocktail so weird and he doesn’t need this either.”
