Japan Has A Shrine Dedicated To Cats And Its Monks Are The Cutest
Time to believe in God that is cat.
The world is so lack of hope and humanity, but things like this are what keep us going. Cat people, rejoice! For Japan has Nyan Nyan Ji (which means Meow Meow Shrine) in Kyoto. The best part about it is that you get to praise cats and nobody will give you a weird look. Next to that would be the adorable monks that walk around the area.
Green Lemon loves to share happy and beautiful stories like this because cats are just the best medicine to bad and exhausting days.
Nyan Nyan Ji is located in Kyoto, Japan.

The head of the monk is Koyuki, this adorable white cat right here!

The Nyan Nyan Ji was opened by a famous painter who does works on shrines and temples.

Just like your typical temple, this place is also filled with statues and carvings of what people worship: cats! They certainly make some adorable souvenirs to bring home. The temple shop is called ‘Littlefootmark Ren’.

This religion spreads the truth: cats are cute.

Koyuki was the third head monk of the temple which opened in 2016. There are a total of 7 felines in this place and, of course, all of them are so lovable.

Aside from Koyuki, the cat assistants also look adorable.

The exact address of the shrine is 520 Yasekonoecho, Sakyo-Ku, Kyoto 601-1253, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.

Look at her looking all beautiful!

Of course, Koyuki is also liquid.

People are asking where to sign up.

If you want more about cats, here is one that will send you screaming internally because of how fluffy these cats are.
