Influencer Nearly Died From Complications After Lip Reduction Swelled Double Size

The Russian influencer wanted her oversized lips reduced but things went awry. Cartier Bugatti of the Volga region nearly passed away from complications following the procedure with a cosmetologist. And instead of the lip being reduced as wanted, the procedure left Cartier’s mouth swelling up to double the size. As per reports, the heavily-inked mom-of-one, whose real is Kristina Vishnivetskaya was given Longidaza, an immunomodulatory medication with anti-inflammatory properties.

Following the lip reduction procedure, Cartier claimed her lips and cheeks swelled more than twice their normal size after she had an allergic reaction to the medication.

And due to the allergic reaction, she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Cartier with a following of over 111k on Instagram says medics’ quick actions helped prevent her from developing a severe case of Quincke’s oedema, described as a sudden swelling under the skin that can cause the throat to swell, leading to breathing difficulties. The influencer, who had undergone a procedure after lumps formed in her lips, revealed she had no idea she was allergic to Longidaza.

Now, Cartier is out of danger and had been kept in the hospital under observation for several days following the scare. As per the DailyMail, the Moscow-based social media star said at the time: ‘Of course, they won’t let me die here, and that’s the most important thing.’ However, the cosmetologist she visited is not believed to be authorized to carry out lip reductions. On the other hand, the influencer, with over 17K Telegram subscribers has since been discharged from the hospital and is back at home with her husband and young son.
