‘I’m 71, And I Love Dressing In Lingerie, People Never Believe That I Haven’t Had Work Done’
Mont has appeared in magazines and loves posing in lingerie for the camera.
Age isn’t in any way limiting the fashion sense of Suzy Monty. The 71, who had kicked off her modeling career when she won a catwalk competition at ten, enjoys flaunting her natural dark brown hair and slim frame in lingerie. The Cornwall-based also loves her lingerie collection; she still got a green one from 400-odd years ago.
Monty puts her youthful looks down on her healthy lifestyle, insisting she has never had surgery or dyed her hair.
“People don’t believe that my hair is mine. But it is real. I’ve never had it dyed, and it’s still thick and dark and goes all the way down to my waist. I keep fit by doing lots of walking and love to cook and bake. I don’t feel old, but I feel like I’m 21,” Monty, who has been modeling for the past 50 years, told The Sun.
In her 20s, she had won Miss Cornwall Bikini and Miss Cornwall swimwear contests.
She added: “I’m still loving posing in a bikini and modeling. I’ve still got the green bikini from 40-odd years ago – I don’t tend to get rid of anything.” Monty has appeared in dozens of calendars and magazines and loves posing for the camera, but she now opts to only work with people she can indeed trust.
In her 60s, the beauty queen has had to overcome a tumor diagnosis, which she got worried she might not survive.
“I still love to do it but I’m a bit pickier with who I work with. I’m not afraid to pose in my bikini still. I’m still a size 10 and keeping fit. I used to do shoots for four to five times a week but now do them sporadically. I love doing fashion shoots,” Monty explained and said of her health: “Luckily it was benign but I’m grateful to still be on this planet.”
Currently, she’s splitting her time between modeling and writing a novel.
Monty continued: “I’ve taken writing up more since the pandemic and am just finishing my first novel. I mediate every day and feel blessed to still have my dark long hair and figure. My husband, John, 74 is celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary next year and he’s always been a massive support.”
Nonetheless, the model says people to date can’t believe she’s never had surgery.
