Florida Husband Charged For Hitting Wife’s Lover With Baseball Bat

John Dimmig caught a man in the act with his wife, and hit him with a baseball bat.

A Florida husband is facing attempted murder charges after he burst into an Airbnb and caught a man in bed with his wife. John Dimmig reportedly battered the man bloody with an aluminum baseball bat, leaving the victim to lay on his back while holding a towel to his head.

While in bed with his wife, the man said he suddenly heard the front door open before seeing Dimmig charging toward him with a baseball bat in his hand.

According to CBS 2 report, deputies following a 911 call arrived at the Lake Worth Beach residence and found the living room spattered with blood. As per an arrest report, the victim told deputies he was a CT technician from Arizona in Florida for work, adding that Dimmig’s wife was his co-worker and that they had gone out for drinks after work.

Dimmig pinned the victim down and bashed his head three times with the metal baseball bat, as per the report. The victim told responding officers, ‘I felt like he was out to kill me.’ As per NYPOST, Dimmig screamed at the man, warning him not to go near his wife. But then, his wife herself pulled Dimmig off the man before he fled the scene. A video in the apartment captured how she tried to end the assault.

“John!” she could be heard screaming in the footage. “Stop! He’s bleeding!” Dimmig, who was slated to appear in court on July 17, responded, calling someone a “piece of sh–” inside the apartment. Deputies later went to Dimmig’s home and allegedly found him loading his Hyundai accent with bags of clothes. His wife also signed off on a search warrant, and police found a black bat along with bloody garments. Dimmig denied the assault but was placed under arrest.
