Homeless Woman Lives In A Bin Bags As She Refuses To Go To Shelter Without Her Six Dogs

There’s no denying that dogs’ most attractive trait is their loyalty. This can be humbling, overwhelming and has often been cited as a character human beings can learn. Loyalty is for sure a critical ingredient in our daily lives. Are you putting effort into creating more loyalty in life? 

If you haven’t ever thought of the mentioned above question, perhaps this homeless woman spotted on the streets of Tijuana, Mexico, might be inspiring. Luz Maria Olmedo Beltran, known as Chloe, has proved that loyalty should be two-sided as she appears to care for her six dogs more than herself. Chloe has been homeless for about 8years now and has lived in a garbage bag on the street with her six dogs. 

But despite the depressing situation, she has continuously given her pets protection, warmth, unconditional love, and companionship. In particular, Chloe attained limelight after Photographer Omar Camarillo told her story to millions of people through Facebook. It didn’t just melt internet users’ hearts, but it equally became an inspiration for compassion.

When Chloe’s lifestyle went viral, local police effortlessly tried to persuade Chloe to go to a shelter, but she repeatedly declined. The Municipal police, according to Omar, spent roughly 30 minutes convincing Chloe to accept being moved to a shelter, of which she burst into tears as she doesn’t want to leave her pets behind. The dogs weren’t permitted at the shelter, so she opted to stay outside with them. The 65-Year-Old was particularly scared that the dogs would be left alone, especially as one of them is about to give birth.

The Municipal police spent roughly 30 minutes convincing Chloe, of which she burst into tears as she doesn’t want to leave her pets behind

‘I don’t want to go, I don’t need help, and I am fine here.’ Chloe had said to the police. Thankfully, an internet user, identified as Alejandra Cordova Castro, got deeply touched and decided to assist Chloe with blankets, water, food, socks, among others. The kind gesture might look simple, but it did mean a lot to Chloe, who struggled to survive in her complicated reality.

‘I don’t want to go, I don’t need help, and I am fine here.’ Chloe had said to the police

‘She said thank you so many times that she made me cry.’ Alejandra captioned the post hinged on the good deed on Facebook. Alejandra’s aim wasn’t to get attention but to encourage people close by to give whatever they can and even offered to assist in transporting it. Presently, Chloe can be found between Constitucion Street and Baja California in Tijuana in a shelter for 50 pesos per day.

It’s visibly in bad condition, but at least her four-legged family is together. Besides, Chloe hopes the government will donate a place for her to rescue even more abandoned dogs. On the other hand, in an interview with Bored Panda, Omar explained: ‘I was shocked by the conditions in which the woman lives. I was able to realize the La Chloe has a great heart because she helps animals despite having many shortcomings.’
