The high school teacher has been promptly removed.
A Florida high school teacher was subsequently removed after a viral video showed him insulting a student who refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. His anger was caught in a clip uploaded to TikTok, where viewers immediately asked if he was fired.
The video has been viewed over 2.3 million times, and we can hear the teacher saying, “You are gonna sit there on your butt? If you want to do something, just get up and do it … I will defend my country to the very end.”
A nervous student told him, “I won’t hurt you.”
He immediately told him to go back to where he was from, “Mexico or Guatemala? Where?”
The student replied that he was born here, in the US, which invoked a bewildered response from the teacher, “You were born here? And you won’t stand up for the flag?”
The Bradenton High School teacher has been removed since then.
