“A**holes Can Leave”: Garth Brooks Vows To Sell Bud Light At New Bar

While Garth Brooks Bud Light bar will soon be in trend, the country legend has made his stand very clear.

The country legend has made his position very clear, and while not all his fans will like it, it’s safe to say he’s walking the path of being dubbed Garth Brooks Bud Light bar, after vowing to sell the drink at his new bar despite its controversy. Kid Rock launched the Bud Light criticism, which caused the brand to see its sales drop by over 20%.

While Garth Brooks Bud Light bar will no doubt soon be in trend, Kid Rock had brought attention to the Anheuser-Busch brand’s partnership with Trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The musician at the time showed his displeasure with the deal by using a semi-automatic rifle to shoot up containers of Bud Light.

He posted the video on his social media along with an expletive-filled message that showed he was not going to be drinking Bud Light, or presumably any Anheuser Busch product going forward. Country stars rarely speak out on controversies, but Brooks is making his voice heard.

Garth Brooks Bold Stand On Bud Light Controversy

The singer, who plans to open “Friends In Low Places Bar and Honky Tonk,” in Nashville soon has made his feelings on Bud Light very clear. “I know this sounds corny, but I want it to be the Chick-fil-A of honky-tonks,” Brooks shared. “I want it to be a place you feel safe in. I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another.”

The musician does appear to be ignoring controversies when it comes to the LGBTQA community, saying all beers and all people are welcome in his bar.  “And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this if you [are let] into this house, love one another. If you’re an a**hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway,” Brooks told Billboard’s Executive Editor Melinda Newman.

Garth Brooks Bud Light Bar Will Be Inclusive

Brooks bought the 40,000 s.f. space in Nashville in 2021 and said the time that his bar would be inclusive and welcoming. “The goal is a classic honky-tonk that welcomes all and encourages love and kindness while playing the greatest music in the world in the home of country music,” he said.

Anheuser-Bush Lost Over $6billion In Six Days After Mulvaney Partnership

26-Year-Old Mulvaney announced the partnership in videos posted to Instagram at the start of April 2023 to coincide with the NCAA March Madness tournament. And in six days that followed the announcement, Anheuser-Bush lost over $6 billion in market capitalization. Specifically, the campaign against the partnership has been polarizing, with famous faces ditching the company, while a few have leaped to Mulvaney’s defense. After Kid Rock’s antics, country singer Travis Tritt also removed all Anheuser-Bush products from his tour.

Anheuser-Busch Still In Support Of Bud Light’s Partnership

‘From time to time, we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Mulvaney. This commemorative can was a gift to celebrate a personal milestone and is not for sale to the general public,” Anheuser-Bush said in a statement. The company then released a patriotic new ad, which of course has been slammed online. The new advertisement was for Budweiser, and it featured iconic Clydesdale horses galloping across open fields and past landmarks, including the New York City skyline and Lincoln Memorial.

Following the advert backlash, with most describing it as a pathetic attempt, CEO Brendan Whitworth delivered an apology, writing, “We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people.” “We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer,” he said in a statement. My time serving this country taught me the importance of accountability and the values upon which America was founded: freedom, hard work, and respect for one another.”
