Former Boxer Detained On Suspicion Of Beating Husband To Death

Domestic violence takes numerous forms. It’s recognized as a kind of behavior that a person uses to threaten or control an intimate partner. Whether physical, sexual, emotional, or psychological violence, both men and women can be victims of the abuse. Reportedly, quite a massive figure of men fall victim, and regardless of their size or strength, they deserve help. 

With that being said, a professional boxer is in the headlines on suspicion of domestic violence against her husband. 34-Year-Old Viviane Obenauf has recently been detained in Switzerland as the primary suspect in her 61-year-old husband’s beating. The Rio De Janeiro- born, an ex-pro boxer with a 14-6record, had gotten married to Thomas, a wealthy Swiss Hotelier, in January.

Viviane’s husband passed away at a residence they both shared (The restaurant Des Alpes). The investigation pointed out it was due to sustained violent assault, specifically severe wounds from a blunt object. Detectives are currently looking into confessions that she is responsible for Thomas’s death. 

Friends and families who knew Viviane claim she isn’t shy of fighting both women and men outside the ring, especially if she loses her temper; hence they’re shocked by the news. In previous reports on Swiss Newspaper Blick, the boxer had been arrested for punching a man’s face in London. Although, the man in a nightclub had tried to grab her bottom as she celebrates her 30th birthday. But the incident did result in spending hours in a jail cell. 

Nevertheless, Viviane had played football and was an Olympic gymnast before entering the boxing world at age 18. After retirement, she started working in the gastronomy industry situated in Switzerland and did launch her gym. Interestingly, she’s a mom-of-one named Calvin.
