Ferrari Owner Left Fuming After Crashing The £250k Supercar On Day He Bought It

Only hours after leaving a flash garage, a proud new owner of a Ferrari 488 was left fuming after he crashed the supercar, which now requires costly repairs. Police have since confirmed the incident and even shared photos of the damaged red vehicle online. 

Luckily, no one was injured, but the driver’s bank balance undeniably took an unexpected hit.

Taking to Twitter, the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit wrote on the incident: “Derby. 1st April. Driver bought a Ferrari this morning and crashed it after driving it less than 2 miles. No injuries. #DriveToArrive.” A spokesperson then clarified that East Midlands Ambulance Service had alerted them to a collision report on St. Almonds Way in Derby just before 11 a.m. on Friday. 

Just one vehicle had been involved in the collision, and no injuries were reported. The car was moved off the road, and the driver arranged for their recovery.

Without holding back, people took to the comments as one reacted, saying: “You would be absolutely gutted.” Another said: “OH NO!! Wounded.” A third shared a possible reason for the crash: “I take it due to the fact the car facing the wrong way. He’s givin it a bit too much gas?”

A fourth commented: “Bugger. How mortified would you be. That is going to take some fixing.” Another asked: “FFS what on earth was he doing? Is he even licensed to drive?” A fifth also stated: “Good to hear no injuries but maybe to much power for this driver and it looks like he’s the April Fool for crashing.”
