Eminem Skips Daughter’s Wedding & The Internet Reacts
Fans wondered if Eminem attended his daughter Alaina’s wedding as he wasn’t seen in photos.
Alaina Marie Scott, the daughter of rapper Eminem has officially tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Matt Moeller, in Detroit. The celebratory mood permeates her photos, showing Alaina getting ready for her special moment and then various photos of her and her husband celebrating their big day. In some pics, the two were joined by their friends and family, but no picture or video showed Eminem.
Eagle-eyed fans pointed out that rapper Eminem skipped the wedding and wondered if there was some trouble between him and his daughter.
“Marshall wasn’t at the wedding,” wrote someone on Twitter. “So, Eminem missed Alaina’s wedding?” Another tweeted, “I’m crying at the fact we, as a fandom, are going back and forth about who was & wasn’t at Alaina’s wedding and if Marshall was or wasn’t in a photo posted when in truth none of us were there ourselves LMFAOOO,” a third said. However, a few fans of the “Lose Yourself” artist, 50, pointed out he could have been there and just wasn’t seen in the photos.
“He absolutely deserves privacy and no there’s not going to be any pictures of him for the public he doesn’t want him being famous to steal the light from his daughter on the most special day of her life he wants her wedding day to be about his daughter, not him what a great father,” one supporter tweeted. “People who think that Eminem wasn’t at his daughter’s wedding r stupid asf, he was there we r not gonna get pics though cause he’s private like that,” another agreed.
Reportedly, Scott and Moeller were surrounded by 125 of their closest family members and friends.
“June 9, 2023, simply one of the best days of my life,” the bride wrote on Instagram. “In this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find yours.” Photos taken by Jean Smith Photography showed Alaina, who donned a Katerina Bocci gown and her new husband kissing, as well as Eminem’s other daughter, Hailie Jade Mathers, serving as her maid of honor. However, Moeller proposed to Alaina in December 2021, after more than seven years of dating.
On the other hand, Alaina had been adopted by Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, as per Billboard. The 30-year-old was Eminem’s niece, but the rapper legally adopted her in the early 2000s when her biological mother, Dawn Scott, the twin sister of the rapper’s ex-wife Kim Matter struggled with drug usage. Dawn passed away in January 2016 at 41. Eminem told Rolling Stone in 2004 that he had full custody of Aliana Scott.
