Elton John Bid Farewell: Fans Were Disappointed In No-show Dua Lipa Nor Britney Spears
What a way to bow out!
It was Elton John’s final performance last night at Glastonbury. The 76-year-old bid his farewell on his last UK tour that saw hundreds of thousands of people at the concert at Worthy Farm.
His performance at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage has been hailed as the “best Glastonbury headliner ever” as the weekend ended. It was “hit after hit” and Elton John also had four special guests join him on stage.
His husband, David Furnish, was there along with other A-listers to cheer on him at the show.
Unfortunately, Dua Lipa and Britney Spears who weren’t seen that night, causing disappointment in some viewers. The iconic ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ singer arrived in gold suit and the trademark red-tinted sunglasses at the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
The man wiped away his tears as the special guests paid tribute to him while the fans cheered for him and sang along. He remarked, “It’s an emotional night.”
He also dedicated “Don’t Let the Sun Gow Down on Me” to George Michael who would’ve turned 60.
Paul McCartney, Taron Egerton and Andrew Garfield were also seen attending the show. Fans, however, were disappointed that Spears, 41, weren’t there after she was rumored to be performing “Hold Me Closer” with Elton.
Dua Lipa who sand Cold Heart with him was also not seen at the concert. One viewer wrote, “Sorry Dua Lipa but where on earth is more important to be right now than the headlining performance of Glastonbury with Elton John?”
The night was a night filled with excitement and cheering.
