Late Tuesday, both FX and Hulu announced that American Horror Story, Delicate Part One, will premiere on September 20th. The upcoming season stars Kim Kardashian, Emma Roberts, Matt Czuchry, Cara Delevingne, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Odessa A’zion, and Zachary Quinto. Specifically, the new season is adapted by Halley Feiffer from Danielle Valentine’s novel, Delicate Condition.
Alongside the premiere date for Delicate, FX, and Hulu also shared creepy new artwork of Kim Kardashian’s character as well as that of Emma Roberts.

Season 12 of American Horror Story, Delicate, is led and written by Feiffer, known for her acting work, including writing and producing Mozart in the Jungle, Impeachment: American Crime Story, Kidding, and more. Last month, Kim shared her involvement in the series through a post on her Instagram. Also, an earlier teaser showed the SKIMs mogul holding an infant while a creepy rendition of the lullaby, Rock-a-bye-bye, played in the background.
In the creepy new artwork, Kim is seen in the same white blonde wig, with long spidery eyelashes.

For her part, Roberts had massive spiders pressed to their bodies, portraying baby bumps.

However, as news emerged that Kim had a role in AHS: Delicate, Twitter was divided over her casting. A user admitted at the time: ‘I didn’t understand how she’d fit into the show when it was announced, but so far (appearance-wise), she looks really good!’ Another tweeted: ‘Omg, woah, she looks so cool.’ Some compared the entrepreneur to a ‘shape shifter’ and marveled that she looked like Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn. But a few felt that the series is just ‘pulling celebrity names out of a hat and casting them.’

Meanwhile, the novel, Delicate Condition, according to its publisher, is described as a ‘feminist update to Rosemary’s Baby.’ A description on Amazon reads, “The Push meets The Silent Patient in a gripping thriller that follows a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens, while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says.” It’s fingers crossed as we await the movie’s arrival on FX and Hulu on Sept. 20th.
