The actress who looks unrecognizable starred in one of the biggest family films of the ’90s.
A comedy actress looked unrecognizable as she stepped out for a stroll with fellow actor Richard E. Grant. She has a successful career and will soon reprise one of her beloved roles in the forthcoming film, Beetlejuice 2. The comedian is also known for roles in Schitt’s Creek and Home Alone as Kate McCallister alongside Macaulay Culkin, who played her son Kevin.
The comedy actress who looks unrecognizable is Catherine O’Hara and for the outing, the Canadian opted for a pink blazer, paired with grey-striped trousers.
Grant wasn’t unrecognizable and had opted for a causal figure in a navy plaid shirt and white trousers.
The film, Home Alone had grossed $476 million at the box office and it follows a boy left home alone on Christmas when his parents forgot to take him on their family vacation. Catherine went on to reprise the role in the film’s sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York which was indeed another box-office success. The actress had gone viral on TikTok when she recreated a memorable scene from Home Alone.
The memorable scene was when her character, Kate forgot her son while on a flight to Paris. For her role in Schitt’s Creek, she played Moira Rose and won an Emmy for the role at the 2020 awards ceremony. The victory was part of the sweep that saw Schitt’s Creek take home nine wins in September. Catherine is also known for her roles in films including Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, A Mighty Wind, and Best in Show.
The Schitt’s Creek show, which also starred Eugene Levy, Annie Murphy, and Dan Levy followed a wealthy family who lose their fortune and are forced to move to a remote town they had bought for their son as a joke on his birthday. However, Catherine also opted for gray sneakers and had her hair center-parted but in an updo for the outing.
