Carjacker Dies In Crash After He Viciously Attacked And Robbed Elderly Texas Woman
She’s lucky not to have been more seriously injured.
A carjacker’s joyride is short-lived as he was found dead in a car owned by Shirlene Hernandez on a nearby highway not long after attacking the Texas great-grandmother. The robber had brutally attacked the 72-Year-Old as she walked into a San Antonio gas station to get a soda.
Reportedly, the robber grabbed her car keys, roughed her up, and hit her several times in the face.
WBRC reported that, thankfully, three men came to Shirlene’s aid but were unable to subdue the carjacker as he drove off in a frenzy. Speaking of his death, the grandma said: “There’s a lot of people who would say what goes around comes around, karma. I did not think that; the only thing I got (was) really said because he had died.”
She added: “Now granted, he had hurt me, but the Lord saw fit to take him out of his misery.”
Despite her age, Shirlene works daily and needs a vehicle to get her there. She’s still sore and beat up with a bruised face, but she’s mostly OK. However, the San Antonio residents have since launched a GoFundMe to help her get a replacement car. With a goal of $5,000, the page has raised nearly triple that amount.
