The world knows that organizations and even big companies take their employees for granted. Bosses are known for withholding promotions, raises, piling up of extra work and even eliminating fringe benefits, taking proper advantage of their staff.
Well, the aforementioned doesn’t have to be like that always, here’s a story that tells the positive. Just recently, Bernie Reifkind told his Linkedln connections of the moment he stumbled upon a mom employee, who was crying at her desk.
The mom had been up all night, was all out of sick days and her child was equally ill. Instead of telling his employee to suck it all up and face work, Bernie did something that every modern boss are gradually forgetting.
He expressed empathy and gave a listening ear!
