Body-Positive Influencer Gets Called A ‘Hypocrite’ After Editing Her Instagram Pics
“This had to be the biggest amount of hypocrisy.”
Social media influencer “callout” guy John Dorsey claimed to have caught Karina Irby editing her pictures after all of her campaigns to stop women from editing theirs. The online coach shared with her 126,000 followers how the doorframes, walls, and objects would warp in some of her pictures.
And the most important point is how Karina is openly against women who edit their pictures as she does with hers. The Moana Bikini brand owner who’s been losing a lot of weight had also admitted to editing in the past and claimed she’d stopped doing it.
John took this post to remind people of her take on body positivity and editing.
She made a comparison between her real and editing picture and wrote, “No joke… people are STILL editing their photos like this!”

“We create our own beauty standards in 2022. Be the change you want to see,” she ended it with her iconic motto.
John slammed the influencer because her entire brand was built on the very thing she claimed she wasn’t doing. And she’d since hit back that she’d only “slightly edited herself in the past.” The influencer added that she remains “the most open, honest and transparent creators on social media in 2023.”
John called her out, “This had to be the biggest amount of hypocrisy I’ve ever come across in doing these stories.”
“She’s well-known for encouraging girls to not edit their photos and not edit their cellulite out… she says be the change you want to see. I am the change I want to see.”
He continued, “Why am I saying she’s a hypocrite? Well, Karina, it looks like you’ve pulled in your waist in this one… the metal in your shower is bending… because you edited your a**e to be bigger.”
“Remember this photo? Look in the corner. You cooked it, the corner is bent!”
He continued to call her out when Karina tried to defend herself, “You really doubled down. Very sad. What you are doing is contributing to the very thing you say you are combating.”
“You are creating the unreasonable and unobtainable body standards by literally making your body a cartoon and then grandstanding on a platform telling other women not to do the same. You’re a run of the mill fitness charlatan.”

In her defense, she told Daily Mail Australia, “It’s pretty obvious when you look at my content – posts, reels, stories – that you’re getting the authentic, unedited and unfiltered version of me. Which can rub some people the wrong way. It’s for this reason that I focus more of my time on TikTok videos as it is a more authentic and transparent place.”

“Being in the public eye with years and years of strangers telling my I am ugly, I am fat, I have gross skin, I have had work done etc. can take a toll on a person. This is why I speak heavily about online bullying, due to the effects it’s had on me in the past.”
Karina also shared earlier this week that she’s been losing weight after ridding himself of sugar for 130 days.
Karina has opted to limit comments on her posts now. She’s also shared how the intensity of troll messages and posts has been rising for the past few days. Many of them called her the “ugliest” and how she should lose some weight so she doesn’t “end up in a wheelchair like your dad.”
