Beauty Queen Unable To Close Her Eyes Or Smile After Undergoing Botched Facelift

Yulia Tarasevich has her face badly swollen and inflamed after undergoing £3,000 surgeries, including mini liposuction, a blepharoplasty [cosmetic correction of the eyelids], and a facelift. The mom-of-two visited surgeons at a clinic in Krasnodar, Southern Russia, with a beautiful, healthy face and had just wanted to correct some nuances caused by aging. 

“But sadly, I lost my health,” said Yulia, a runner-up in the Mrs. Russia-International Beauty Contest 2years ago.

The 43-Year-Old added that she’s unable to move large parts of her face or close her eyes despite having recovered from the surgery and has spent £20,000 in attempts to correct the issue, to no avail. She has now officially filed a criminal complaint against the two doctors [pictured below] involved in the original operations, though they’ve claimed the complications emerged due to a rare genetic defect.

The doctors, Andrey Komarov and Omar Khaled claim the beauty queen had a rare genetic condition – Scleroderma and that it was impossible to predict and deny any responsibility for her nightmare. The condition results in stiff, thickened areas of skin and can sometimes cause problems with internal organs and blood vessels as the victim’s immune system attacks connective tissue under the skin. 

But so far, no evidence has come to light to suggest that Yulia was suffering from the said rare condition.

She told Russian Channel 1: “I have scars that formed in my cheeks when they ripped out all of my tissue. My eyes don’t close, and I can’t smile.”

“I can’t lift my upper lip, and one part of my face doesn’t work at all. I went quietly to the operation, firstly because all my tests were in order. Secondly, because I had plastic surgery before this, I did rhinoplasty, and it went perfectly for me, without any genetic abnormalities.” 

Yulia then said she was forced to have an emergency follow-up procedure by another doctor to save her eyes from necrosis. 

According to the Russian Investigate Committee, Dr. Khaled and Dr. Komarov are now under investigation for flouting laws on the safety of life and health. Anna Pushkina, a Committee Spokeswoman, said: “A forensic medical examination has been appointed to determine the severity of the harm to health and other patients who could have suffered from poor-quality services in this clinic are also being identified.”

Investigations are ongoing, especially as Yulia accuses the doctors of malpractice and blames their mistakes on a condition they could not detect.
