‘Stranger Things’ Filming Shut Down As Netflix Orders For Productions In US & Canada To Be Stopped

Covid-19 pandemic has become a global concern that shuts down conferences, concerts and postpones every major gathering. Entering the list recently is the ‘Stranger Things’ production along with many other ongoing Netflix productions. The giant streaming-platform has ordered for US & Canada productions to be put on halt temporarily. This affects many of their upcoming shows.

The shutdown will happen on March 16 and will go on for two weeks. While the release date for the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things’ has not yet been announced, but there is a possibility of it being postponed from its initial unreleased date.

Productions such as ‘The Witcher’ that is happening outside the regions will continue as usual, but changes can happen anytime. Other companies such as Disney, Sony, and NBCUniversal have also ordered for productions of live-actions and shows to be temporarily stopped. This has affected movies and shows such as ‘Nightingale’, ‘Wheel of Time’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Supergirl’, and ‘Lucifer’.

Starting from Saturday, Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood will also be closed except for their Downtown. Theaters are reducing their capacity if people were not already stopping to visit them, and events, where hundreds to thousands of people gather, have been either canceled, postponed to time indefinite or shifted to an online format.
