NASA Ames Tells Workers To Stay Home As Employee Tested Positive

But this is by no mean a reason to be panic.

Officials have revealed that one of their employees was tested positive for the Covid-19 infection, prompting immediate ‘telework’ status on all workers in NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Federal Air Field. The research center remains operational while employees work from home.

Spokesperson Darryl E. Waller said, “Out of an abundance of caution, Ames will temporarily go to a mandatory telework status until further notice. Limiting personnel at the center will allow Ames medical personnel and public health officials to determine potential contacts and assess areas that may require additional cleaning and mitigate potential exposure to center personnel.”

But this is not a cause for worry as Waller added, “The safety of our employees is our top priority. Any decisions we have made, or will make, is with the safety of our workforce in mind.”

Major tech companies such as Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn have also asked their employees to work from home as well.
