‘The Lord Of The Rings’ On Prime Has Finally Revealed Their Main Cast

Production begins next month.

It is an exciting moment and a great way to start in 2020. ‘Lord of the Rings’ on Prime has revealed 15 of their main cast in the series and turned them into a thread on Twitter.

They began with Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur and Nazanin Boniadi. Adding to the cast are Tom Budge, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, and Daniel Weyman.

Showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay have also commented on their big revelation, “After undertaking an extensive global search, we are delighted finally to reveal the first group of brilliant performers who will take part in Amazon’s ‘The Lord of the Rings’ series.”

They added, “These exceptionally talented women and men are more than just our actors: they are the newest members of an ever-expanding creative family that is now working tirelessly to bring Middle-earth to life anew for fans and audiences worldwide.”

The showrunners are also writers of the series and have also invited Bryan Cogman from ‘Game of Thrones’ to be the consulting producer. J.A. Bayona will also direct several episodes. The series’ production is starting next month in February.

The team hasn’t revealed much about the plot except for the timeline that they are exploring, which is the prequel of ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’. The Twitter account also previously teased it will be during the Second Age when the ring of powers was forged.
