‘I Flew To Turkey For ‘Hollywood Smile Surgery,’ But It Went Horribly Wrong’

Anyone interested in achieving a Hollywood smile will no doubt have to travel down to Turkey. The location has become the place of GO, especially as it’s 70% cheaper compared to the United Kingdom. But sadly, Amanda Turner has proved it might not be a better investment and advises that the pearly whites should be gotten somewhere else. 

Turner flew all through to Istanbul, Turkey, to get new crowns but was left looking ugly and crying her eyes out. 

With her teeth drilled down to extreme levels and having a sore patch on her lower lip, Turner shared via a TikTok that she was in much discomfort. “I can’t even move my face. It’s so, so, sore,” she said, explaining that she wasn’t given proper freezing – a vital step before removing a thin layer of enamel from a natural tooth.

“I had to literally beg for more injections to numb me,” reads the caption of her video, which saw her popping in pain and tears.

Giving a glimpse into what transpired, Turner of Northern Irish revealed the dentist touched his smartphone before putting fingers into her mouth, which posed a risk of contamination. “I was saying it was sore and to stop, and they were not stopped.” Due to the excruciating pain, she said she starved all week as she couldn’t eat properly. Notably, she shared the experience to make the beauty community know just how wrong it can go.

“I should never have been left without temps and this is all playing a part in why I am in as much pains as I now am,” Turner added.

In another video, she inserted screenshots of the WhatsApp conversation between her and the clinic, in which she wrote a lengthy one-star review. “I was under the impression that I would have each tooth individually fitted,” Turner said, adding that it’s not what she had expected for the money she had forked out for the procedure. So far, her video has garnered over 82K likes and mixed reactions.

“Avoid turkey or anywhere out of the country [sic]!!,” One professional in the industry urged.

Someone believed Turner was partially to blame for what she’s experiencing, saying: “Your first red flag would’ve been that correspondence was via WhatsApp.” Another said: “I’m so sorry you were duped like this. Awful treatment a complete abuse of the profession [sic].” A few others were horrified, and a dental surgeon from London described the story as horrible.
