Frustrated by the sky-high insulin costs, Schieffer took to TikTok to share her hurdle, having left a pharmacy store empty-handed.

‘I have worked for like 17years, and I work all the time. I have been paying medical bills for my son for nine years since he was born. And he was just diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and had to have insulin every two hours. I just got his prescription, and it was $1000.’
