In the clips, Leesh can be spotted wandering through the aisle. She had equally stopped at a point to ask a Bunnings employee if they had any men left in stock. ‘I have given up on Tinder and online dating. I have gone for a more traditional approach. I have come to Bunnings to find a husband.’ Leesh said.
After tying every aisle in the store, Leesh eventually gave up and claimed she must have selected the wrong time of the day. A few days later, Leesh continued her search, and this time around, she stood in the aisles with flyers that listed a series of phone numbers. With no improvement, she turned to a shop assistant and requested assistance.
‘I am just looking for a husband and was told you guys had them here.’ Leesh said to the staff member. The employee responded: ‘They’re flying off the shelf; if we have any, they will be in the back corner on the left.’ In a concluding part, Leesh filmed herself running to the back corner, and again, she’s alone all by herself.
The videos since uploaded have amassed over 180K views and positive comments. One user gave Leesh some dating advice and was asked to go to the store between 6-8 a.m and 5-9p.m, saying that’s when the tradies get their supplies.
A second added: ‘My friends and I go to Bunnings and just lift the hood of our car and stand against the car… thank us later.’ Luckily, Leesh’s attempt didn’t go unnoticed as potential suitors asked her to let them know which Bunnings she would be heading to next. In all, it paid off!
