40 Times People Asked To Cover Up Their Scars, And This Tattoo Artist Totally Nailed It

The artful work of Tran Thi Bich Ngoc, aka Ngoc Like Tattoo, is about beauty, healing, and restoring one’s confidence. The Vietnamese-based is pushing boundaries while proving that body art can have a far greater positive effect than most people might initially think. It all started in 2012, right after she turned 19 and by 2015, her project took off as she started gaining more and more traction online.

According to her website, the 28-Year-Old is a trained professional painter and designer at one of the most prestigious art schools in Vietnam. Ngoc has had opportunities in her work but after a lot of experiences, it dawned that covering scars with tattoos is the endless passion that she wants to stick with and truly belong to. Recently, Ngoc is named in the Art category of the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list 2022. The artist, who finds joy in helping people get over their insecurities had, equally completed her master’s degree in Motion Pictures Arts and Television from the University of Theater and Performing Arts of Hanoi this year and previously graduated as a Valedictorian in Costume Design.   

The tattoo artist gives every client the care, and attention they deserve, and her skills are so good that it means once the design is concluded, you can’t tell there was even a scar. She told Bored Panda: “To me, every scar brings a new challenge, they are not only mere coverups for stories and feelings but also fateful milestones that mark the closing of the past and the opening of a new chapter.”
