War and Peas is a brilliant creator duo from Saarbrücken, a town on the German-French border. They tell their stories with a pinch of dark humor that often results in a quirky plot twist, a recipe for some very amusing comics.

Although they seem totally made up, usually Jonathan Kunz and Elizabeth Pich get inspired by day to day life observations.

The duo published their first comic back in 2011. Back then, It started as an outlet for their silly doodles and nonsensical comics. After some time, actual people started responding to them, telling how funny they thought the comics were. The artists started to straighten out the concept, both formally and content-wise, giving birth to ‘War and Peas’ comics.
