30 Psychedelic Carpets By Azerbaijani Designer That Create New Visual Boundaries
Each piece is absolutely stunning!
Carpets are often designed to celebrate special occasions, including a child’s birth, religious rites, and even a wedding. Carpets carry quite a cultural significance and indeed Faig Ahmed took pleasure in pushing the craft’s boundaries via his artwork. With a close stare, Ahmed’s traditional carpets appear like digital pictures that didn’t load right.
Blocks of color slide off and the intricate patterns morphing into messes of pixel oriented carpets look like somebody scrolled past them quickly. The majority of Ahmed’s 2D rugs also look like they’re bulging off one’s screen. While they might, however, appear like software glitches or perhaps poor Photoshop editing, Ahmed’s rugs are undeniably hand-woven. Impressive, right?
The Azerbaijani artist takes inspirations from traditional carpets and in turn, creates optical illusions and distortions kind of rugs. The internationally recognized artist from Baku has gained attention for his conversion of classic rugs into impressive modern work of art. So here we’ve compiled some of his most impressive for a deep glance. Brace up for some mouth-opening! Enjoy!
