Texas, a democratic country, is all about decentralizing rights, giving people the freedom to be their own person. It is about having rights over what you are allowed to say and experience, so long as they are within the laws and do not cause damage to other parties. Yet, we are seeing Texan women being oppressed with an outdated law.
Texas has passed a bill that is in effect by September 1st, which regulated that women cannot abort fetuses over 6 weeks old. And as anyone knows, 6 weeks is often not enough to even know if you’re pregnant. Many people don’t even realize they’re pregnant until they’re months old.
But here we are. And people are just angry over the unrealistic regulation, made by men who will never understand what is pregnancy and motherhood.
