This is the advice that has pushed Australian animator Mike Greaney to the heights he has attained in the comic universe. He’s the brain behind the webcomic “Cosmic Dirtbag,” launched during the 2020 global pandemic, and has even written/voiced for Nickelodeon! In his comics, Mike mainly uses humor and sadness to explore themes of human connection and disappointment. 

The artist, who also has created content for “The Malthouse Theater Company,” gets inspiration from all sorts of things and uses his skills of coming up with the most unexpected ending to any story effectively in his work, spanning entertaining panels of comics on his social media. For his short comics, Mike mostly thinks of something that would be fun to draw, like a werewolf transforming, and his longer comics generally begin with a question.
