30 Most Daring Outfits From The MTV VMAs 2023 Red Carpet

For decades, the MTV VMAs have given much in terms of fashion. Yet again, the show didn’t disappoint, giving out, as usual, some iconic moments as celebrities descended on the Prudential Center in Newark. Pop star Taylor Swift led the glam and some incredible performances saw Shakira light up the crowd with her deep catalog and receive the Video Vanguard award.

Like the Oscars and other awards shows, the MTV VMAs red carpet has given us some stunning outfits by some of the biggest names in music and pop culture. And in no particular order, we’ve collated 30 of the incredible looks from the event, which honored Diddy with the Global Icon Award as well as saw Swift win four awards, including Song of The Year, Best Pop, Best Direction, and Video of the Year. Taylor Swift stole the show at the MTV VMAs in a stunning black Versace gown with gold buttons, a high-thigh slit, and gold and diamond jewelry.

She rocked a high-low neckline, strappy black heels, and she completed the look with pulled-back blonde hair, cat-eye makeup, and pink glossy lips.

Selena Gomez, 31, wowed in a red Oscar de la Renta gown with a low-cut neckline and intricate cut-out design that showcased her figure.

The dress featured floral appliques with branch-like accents on the skirt, revealing her toned legs. She styled her brunette hair sleek and center-parted.

Megan Thee Stallion slayed in a sheer black Brandon Blackwood gown at the MTV VMAs, flaunting her midriff and black thong, and dazzled with diamond jewelry.

Doja Cat turned heads in a white Apocene dress, which was nearly sheer and revealed her braless cleavage and nude underwear.

The 27-year-old singer accessorized with Nicole Rose Jewelry, featuring the Diamond Snake Wrap bracelet and 18K two-row diamond dangle earrings.

Shakira arrived on the red carpet with her sons, Milan (9) and Sasha (7). She rocked a stunning gold Versace gown with cut-out panels, an open back, and Piferi heels. 

Her loose, curly hair and minimal makeup highlighted her natural beauty. Her sons matched her in coordinating gold and black outfits.

Cardi B donned a one-of-a-kind Dilara Findikoglu gown made from hundreds of hair clips arranged in swirling patterns.

Olivia Rodrigo, 20, rocked a stunning silver Ludovic de Saint Sernin gown with a low-cut neckline, a plunging back, and 150K Swarovski crystals.

She paired it with silver platform heels, diamond rings, black nail polish, and cuffs.

Nicki Minaj rocked a stunning Dolce & Gabbana ensemble: a pink corset, lace skirt, and veil, all adorned with diamonds. Her makeup and nails were pretty in pink with silver accents.

Saweetie, 30, donned a pink AREA Fall Winter 2023 gown with intriguing bone accents.

Tinashe flaunted her figure in a sheer mesh maxi dress with tape covering certain areas on the MTV VMAs red carpet.

Nicky Hilton and her mom, Kathy Hilton, rocked beige and black gowns with lots of sequins for the red carpet.

Tiffany Haddish revealed her backside in a black sheer gown by Jason Wu at the MTV VMAs, featuring a cheeky black bodysuit with a lace overlay.
